Lately, I have been in touch with many integrators  or value added resellers that were considering to build their own data center in order to prevent revenue shortage resulting from the rapid rise of the Cloud Computing. Hence, I have written this one-page white paper that may help to make appropriate decision based on some economical data from the guys at Wikibon.

CloudSlam is one of the most popular virtual global conference that covers the latest trends of Cloud computing. On March 23rd to 25th, like 1000 other executives, you can attend to a whole set of presentations related to technology or business models.

Lemon Operations is honored to have been selected to talk about “Building a channel in the Cloud” (Great surprise isn’t it?!). We’ll talk about the reasons why setting up a channel in the Cloud is different, the new Competitive Channel Value Proposition, and some new channels opportunities.

Channels for Cloud Computing

Many IT companies among the largest ones have learnt it the hard way: should you have a great channel in place, it does not mean that it will be as great for your cloud applications… How come? How come that among the thousands of Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, IBM, HP, Cisco and all the others’ resellers, VARs, SIs, only a limited number of them are active in the Cloud. Not only that, but you may even find more of them actually preaching for a more traditional model or for workarounds like the private cloud than true evangelists that would teach the beauty of this upcoming tsunami.
