Un grand nombre d’éditeurs informatiques parmi les plus grands l’ont appris à leur dépens: même si l’on a une distribution en place qui fonctionne bien, cela ne signifie pas que c’est la bonne pour des applications en Cloud…Comment cela se fait-il? Comment cela se fait-il que parmi les milliers de revendeurs, VARs, SI de Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, IBM, HP, Cisco et tous les autres, seuls un nombre limité d’entre eux est vraiment actif dans le Cloud? A l’inverse, on pourrait probablement constater qu’ils sont plus nombreux à vanter des solutions traditionnelles ou détournées comme le “Private Cloud” qu’à évangéliser les bienfaits de ce prochain tsunami.

Many IT companies among the largest ones have learnt it the hard way: should you have a great channel in place, it does not mean that it will be as great for your cloud applications… How come? How come that among the thousands of Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, IBM, HP, Cisco and all the others’ resellers, VARs, SIs, only a limited number of them are active in the Cloud. Not only that, but you may even find more of them actually preaching for a more traditional model or for workarounds like the private cloud than true evangelists that would teach the beauty of this upcoming tsunami.
